We used to have a full sermon archive on this page, but we decided to change it to just the most recent sermons.
We did this because:
- We don’t want to build up an online following (if that were ever likely!)
- We don’t want to ever chase numbers of those who might be listening (again, if those were ever likely to be big!)
- Our preaching is for our church, in our time and our place. We want the pastoral focus of our preaching to be the people who come to Anchor Church.
- We’re fallible. The Word of God is always right, but as preachers, we might sometimes get it wrong. If we take our sermons down after a few weeks, we can’t ever do too much damage.
- We put our sermons online for our members to catch up on preaching they missed, and for anyone looking to get a flavour of Anchor Church, and that’s basically it!
