Anchor Church Lymington and Pennington is part of the Anglican Mission in England (AMiE).

AMiE is a fellowship of faithful Anglican churches committed to gospel mission. It is passionate about planting, strengthening and partnering for the salvation of many and the glory of God.

AMiE came into being as a result of the Global Anglican Futures Conference. GAFCON is a global movement of millions of Biblical Anglicans who are committed to proclaiming Christ faithfully to the nations.

In December 2020, AMiE was recognised by the GAFCON Primates (senior Archbishops) as a Convocation within the GAFCON family. AMiE is now one of two Dioceses which make up the Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE). This healthy structure will, by God’s grace, enable fruitful mission. AMiE has its own Bishops, its own set of Canons, a Constitution and a Synod.

Together with faithful Anglicans throughout the world, AMiE churches believe in the doctrinal foundation of Anglicanism found in the Bible, the Thirty Nine Articles of Religion, the Book of Common Prayer and the Ordinal. We also hold to the Jerusalem Statement and Declaration.
